22. Recognize adversity before it’s too late

More often than not, we know how to respond to adversity: endure, be mentally tough, think positively, learn from every situation, be grateful, or look for solutions to problems.

As a person of faith, adversity can be a participation in the sufferings of Christ.

But sometimes, we recognize adversity a little too late — when we’re already drowning in negative thoughts or gripped into inaction.

Knowing what to do in times of adversity is important. But equally important is recognizing adversity when it hits so it doesn’t catch us off-guard.

How about you? Do you recognize when adversity hits you?
