Ask God your questions
Last week, I asked God if I had lost my anointing.
When I started writing in 2013, my biggest reason was to spread the love of God. I wanted to live a life of service. I wanted to earn from writing so I could serve God full-time.
After nine years, my blog is still just breaking even. I still have a full-time day job (which I enjoy on most days and I work with wonderful people so I’m not complaining) and my readership has stagnated in the last five years. And yes, I haven’t been able to write consistently.
Recently, I watched a video of a person who’s about the same age as I am doing what I’ve always wanted to do. I felt like Saul who lost his anointing to David.
In my journal, I asked God, “Father, have I lost my anointing like Saul?”
Before the day ended, I had a call with my manager (outside my day job which I will share in a few weeks maybe) and she prayed over me. In her prayer, she asked for God to anoint me.
I had goosebumps while she was praying over me. After all, I was asking God about my anointing just hours before that.
I know that it wasn’t a coincidence. God heard me and He answered my prayer. I don’t know if I lost my anointing as a writer. But, I know now that I have a second chance. I am anointed.
How about you? Do you have a question for God? Now, I can confidently write “Ask Him.”
Father, thank You. Thank You for the grace and the consolation. Thank You for Your anointing. Most of all, thank You because I know that You hear me. You are here. You are real.
